Sergei Moskalev: Paris Cityscapes in Palette Knife Impressionism
Sergei Moskalev was born in 1970 in Penza, Russia, where his gift for drawing revealed itself early in childhood. He graduated from the Penza Art Studio in 1986 and continued his education at the Penza Art College named after Savitsky. After completing his studies in 1990, he moved to Moscow and soon became a member of the International Federation of Artists of UNESCO. By 1993, his art began traveling beyond borders, with European galleries showcasing his pieces to new audiences.
Today, Sergei paints contemporary Paris cityscapes in palette knife impressionism, working with oil and gold leaf on canvas. Each collection, from Love Letter from Paris to Love Letter from Rome, captures the soul of a place through light, memory and emotion, in thick, expressive strokes of the knife.
His original paintings are represented by Basha Art Gallery and are available to collect.
Sergei Moskalev creates original oil and gold leaf cityscape paintings of Paris, Venice, New York and Las Vegas.
Working with a palette knife, Sergei transforms cities, streets and light into timeless works of art. His paintings are heartfelt tributes that capture the romance of a city, the warmth of its glow, and the quiet poetry of its architecture. Each collection is a love letter to a place he knows by heart.
